## Description Stir-fries are among the best dishes to make when you’re cooking in small quantities. They’re quick, require only a few ingredients, and are endlessly variable. Add vegetables and noodles or rice and this dish easily becomes a complete meal. ## Ingredients - 2 tablespoons soy sauce - 1 tablespoon light brown sugar - 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger or ginger paste - ½ teaspoon chili paste - 1 tablespoon vegetable oil - 12 ounces boneless pork loin, cut into ¼-inch-thick strips ## Instructions 1. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, sugar, ginger, and chili paste. 2. In a medium skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Add the pork and cook, stirring, for about 5 minutes, until browned and cooked through. 3. Stir in the sauce mixture and cook for about 2 minutes, until the mixture bubbles and thickens. Serve hot. ## Optional Finishing Touch Garnish with chopped fresh cilantro or scallions. ## Variation Remove the pork from the skillet after browning and sauté ½ cup snow peas, ½ cup shredded carrots, and ½ cup sliced mushrooms before returning the pork to the pan.
